It is rather important that you familiarize yourself with what kind of rats you partner with. As an inmate, you may find that certain breeds of rat may be more helpful to you than others that shall lead to your ability to escape. Should your companion be the crafty Victorian Thea Rat? Or perhaps the technologically advanced Steampunk Plagues? Be wise in your decisions, or you may never find your way out, or worse, the doctors will catch you. Then whatever shall we do?
The information for breeds shall be updated as they are revealed to the public.

The Victorian Thea Rat
Victorian Thea Rats are the craftiest of all the rats, and can be quite helpful to those who are looking for practical means of escape, while being fashionable about it. Though they may be rats, they are still of nobility. Be careful not to offend your Victorian Rat, dear inmates, because they may give you the cold shoulder for some time.
Victorians have the paws for intricate work and are very thoughtful, and they sure do know how to make a good cup of tea. They are also not the most vicious. Without good reason, your rat may not be the type to enter a battle when it's more reasonable to flee.
Is the Victorian Thea Rat the right rat for you?
-----
The Steampunk Plague Rat
No? Well, then yes, yes, perhaps you might favor the intellect of the Steampunk Plague Rat. With a heavy knack in skill for working with metal, these rats can make anything out of metal that can be scavenged. Better yet, their work runs on steam!
Steampunk Plagues are great escape artists that, though a little bulkier than the lithe Victorian, they use machines that can help them run faster than any rat, or even fly! Just give them a cog and a wire and watch them go to work. Though the Steampunk Plagues are wittier and more outgoing in combat, none have yet exceeded to escape anything more than a doctor or cat. Will you be able to harness the rats' steam powered brilliance to freedom?
-----
The Experiment Pterra Rat
Perhaps all this talk of tea and machines is too exhausting for you? Maybe what you seek is something that lurks more in the shadows of the dank asylum cells. An escaped project that was made by the doctors, these rats are fierce and excellent with flying. They can also be rather loyal to those who they consider friends. Not much more is known yet about these strange hybrid creatures, but you best try not to get on the bad side of a Pterra.
